Dryland èçäàâàò 3-òèÿ ñè àëáóì, îçàãëàâåí "Gothic Tales" ïðåç ãåðìàíñêèÿ ëåéáúë Dark Wings.
"Line - up :
Alex Binder.........Guitar/Vocals
Andreas Bernhardt...Drums
André Busch.........Keyboards
Daniel Richter......Leadguitar
Marco Loos..........Bass
The actual founding of the band dates back to the year 1997. At that time the members met in a garage from time to time to emulate the big Gothic Rock idols. The highly motivated musicians quickly discovered their enormous potential of original ideas and creativity so a unique musical style was developed. It has to be mentioned that all members had been active in other bands before…
The band´s first gig was a regional newcomer contest where the third rank was scored. Many more shows followed, a support for “Moonday” among them.
In late 1997 the band had earned enough cash to finance the recording of their first demo entitled “Morgue” at Alexander Lysjakow´s Soundart-Studio.
Shortly after the recordings the bass player and singer left the band for personal reasons. He was replaced by Marco Loos formerly of “Shocked Culture” and guitarist Alex took over vocal duties.
With Alex´ “new voice” the character of the music changed: instead of heavy, driving guitars more playful, softer yet still rocking melodies were employed. Dryland became more personal and expressive not only in musical terms but also lyrically. Hungry for more live experiences the Dryland boys now entered bigger stages.
They shared the stage with acts such as "Haggard", "The Gallery" and "Lost Belief". Early ´99 they entered the aforementioned studio again to record a selection of their new material.
After the release of the second album “Dawn Of The Gods” German music press took notice of Dryland which is documented in many positive reviews in magazines like 'Sonic Seducer', 'Metal Heart', 'Orkus' or even the Belgian 'The Original Sin'.
“Good new Goth-Rock” (Quote Thomas Thyssen / 'Sonic Seducer') made its way through the German clubs in Berlin, Potsdam, Zeitz, Dessau, Rostock ('Gotenklang-Festival') and also Leipzig ('Schwarze Tanzmeile', '9. Wave-Gotik-Treffen'), to mention only a few. The third album 'From Reverie and Insanity' (June´00) quickly followed. Even more poetic and emotional as the two predecessors it found enormous response from the audience, well documented by great sales. The new songs for the upcoming were first presented live in Halle where Dryland had the honour to support "The 69 Eyes" in 2002. More large scale performances were soon to follow, “Herbstnächte-Festival” on castle Rabenstein for example..."
